Regional Amateur Skateboard Tour Kickoff March 27

The 2010 Regional Amateur Skateboard Tour (The RAT) will kick off its 2010 season on March 27 at Railroad Park in Lewisville. The Forever Trinity Dream Foundation will be there too! We will have T-shirts, wristbands, and will be accepting donations. We will be helping kids decorate skate decs from noon to 5 pm.

We will also be at all of the other RAT events across Texas!

Railroad Park is a 250-acre recreational facility in Lewisville that officially opened Nov. 2. The park, located on the east side of Railroad Street between FM 3040 and Business 121, has eight soccer fields, four football fields, four baseball fields, a dog park and a long-awaited skate park with a variety of obstacles including steps, ramps, rails and an in-ground bowl. This will be the first organized skate competition at the facility.

Created in 2009 by Dallas based Geiger Media, The RAT Skate Tour will consist of six events across Texas and Oklahoma. The series was created to give local skaters an opportunity to compete against their peers in a relaxed, fun environment. Proceeds from the Tour will help support the Forever Trinity Dream Foundation.
